Letter to the Editor From Nick Molnar “Honesty and Integrity?”

Editors note: NOTE: NORDONIA HILLS.NEWS RECEIVED THIS LETTER SUNDAY. WE DIDN’T RUN IT YESTERDAY DUE TO THE STORM SITUATION TAKING A PRIORITY IN COVERAGE. WE NOW RUN THIS POST BY NICK MOLNAR

I reached out to Jeff Garvas and the other new candidates some time back to find out their stance on where Macedonia stands. In that conversation, I told Jeff that I would work with him if he won and expressed my displeasure with Mrs. Hanneken which was evident by her two censures and recent racist comments. We ended the conversation on a high note of which I wished him well. Fast forward to today when Mr. Garvas decided to make a cartoon claiming he wanted to be “an independent swing vote to collaborate.” He also states “my interests are for an independent council.” He concludes the video with “All three of them must be defeated.” I am not up for election and I have no ill will toward the candidate, yet he decided to throw my name into the mix. I normally would ignore this type of banter, but to suggest impropriety is unfair and demands a response. Mr. Garvas is an intelligent man but has failed to focus on why he is running and the issues we face. You have to question his motives when he finger points in all his ads and does not focus on  storm water, roads, finances or safety forces.  I made a public record request in order to obtain some information but the request turned up an alarming “collaboration” which speaks for itself. Please look over the names and substance that are in the public record e-mail and decide if Mr. Garvas will be that “independent swing vote.”  – See three pages attached below the article.

I endorse Jessica Brandt, Vini Ventura and Jan Tulley because they have been involved and seeking solutions to our issues for years. During the issue three levy, these folks had brainstormed ideas and helped spread the word of what we hoped to accomplish.  They have attended nearly every meeting for several years and have had a voice in the committees they have volunteered to be on. Collaboration is the key word of their efforts of which I commend them for. It is for those reasons I support Jan Tulley, Vini Ventura and Jessica Brandt for Macedonia City Council.
