Memorial Walk at the Mather Home

Here is an except from an email sent to the Trustees by Russell Mazzola, a resident of Skyhaven Road:

“As you all know we had a tragedy occur in our Township on Monday night when a house fire took the lives of an entire family including two children here on Skyhaven Rd. As I personally knew the family as did many others here, the Skyhaven and Oakmont residence have been supporting one another through text messages, phone calls and Face book posts. We decided as a neighborhood to have a candle light vigil (battery operated) this coming Friday at 8:30 pm – here are the details:

Our neighborhood has come together to arrange a memorial walk for the Mather family. We plan to meet in front of the Mather’s home at 8:30 pm Friday (today) evening. We will be distributing battery operated votives to our community; but please bring a flash light in case there’s a large turnout and we don’t have enough for everyone. Once we have the votives distributed, we will walk around the block with a short prayer in front of the home from a local pastor (though we are trying to get someone from their church to lead the prayer). Some neighbors have collected photos and video of the family that will be displayed after the walk and prayer.”
