I was dispatched to a residence for a complaint of a neighbor blowing leaves onto their property.
When I arrived on scene I met with the reporting party who stated that a neighbor was purposely blowing leaves from their yard into her yard. She also advised that before I arrived the neighbor started to cut down a tree that she believes is on her property line. While the neighbor was hitting the tree with a machete, an argument began between neighbors. During that argument the neighbor stated if they want to come over and do something about it he would “end it with a quickness” while holding the machete. The neighbor provided video footage taken on her cell phone of the other neighbor making this statement. I advised the neighbor that I would document the information in the report making the statement from his property and directing it towards the complaining neighbor is a conditional threat. She was understanding and wrote a statement for me about the incident. I went next door to speak with neighbor about the reference and they refused to say anything and also refused to write a statement for the incident report.
