Smiles Galore at Northfield Village Council Meeting 5-22-19 (VIDEO)

The highlight of the Village of Northfield Council Meeting was when Officer Brian Zambach (Lee Eaton School Resource Officer) presented Proclamations from Mayor Jesse
Nehez to Natalie Barnes, Kendall Haynes, Charlotte Naymik, and Abby Pohlmeyer.

These four Lee Eaton students took it upon themselves to take action at school on May 1st, when a staff member collapsed due to a life threatening health emergency. They students sought help immediately and emergency assistance was called to the scene. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

Officer Brian Zambach, expressed how proud he was. This feeling was shared among, the mayor, council and everyone in the audience.

In other good news, Northfield Village K9 Officer Pseudo and his partner Ptl. Gramlich came in first place in agility and second place in obedience at the Akron challenge!

In other Northfield Village Police Department News…

They are currently looking at applications for part time officers.

They are still waiting for the delivery of our Chevy Tahoe that
was ordered from Tim Lally Chevrolet.

Notable trainings coming up for Sgt. Olesinski- OTOA Confrence in Sandusky. Officer Zambach will be attending School Resource Officer Confrence in Columbus. Officer Pratt will be attending School Resource Officer Training.

Total calls for service for April was 831


The only piece of legislation on the agenda passed:

An Emergency Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Enter into an Agreement with West Roofing Systems, Inc. to Insulate, Repair, and Seal the 199 Ledge Road Service Department Building Roof.
