Subject arrested for multiple counts of Theft, Forgery and Telecommunications Fraud

At approximately 0813 hours on April 30, 2019 an 87 year old Village resident filed a Theft report with Northfield Village Police Department. The victim reported that two of the personal checks she issued to her landscaper where altered prior to being deposited and cashed. One of the checks issued was a “Happy Easter” gift of $50.00 which was altered to $550.00. 

Upon completion of the investigation by the initial reporting officer and the Detective Bureau 

Sharlene A.Wagner was arrested and charged with Theft (F5), 2 counts of Forgery (F5) and 2 counts of Telecommunications Fraud (F5). 

Wagner is currently being held at the Macedonia City Jail on a $20,000.00/ 10% bond.
