Tessa Update: “Such a fun day for our girl yesterday!”

Such a fun day for our girl yesterday! Tessa had lots of visitors today! She got to see the neighborhood girls who have been wanting to see her for awhile now, She got to play games with some of her close friends, cousin and brother! It was a great afternoon of laughs and fun for her. Thank you Willow- Danielle Hill, Gaven- Jaimie Stulak Mathlage, Chloe, Layla- Christi Thomas, Savanna- Marie Puma Adamini & Tyler for spending time with Tessa and making her smile today!

We get to have her home again today for a family cookout! She is so excited for that. I must say it is getting so hard to take her back to the hospital every night! I can not wait until friday night when we get to have her at home every night!! She is very excited to be in the parade on Monday morning too!

I wish she didn’t have to lose her leg in all this mess but I am so thankful we have our girl back and she has such a positive attitude about all this. She was on the floor playing today with her doll house and barbies. She said she was so happy to be playing with her barbies again…she looked up at us and said “its so different playing now, because i cant stand up, but its ok, i am fine with it, just different”..It is so hard for Matt and I to hear her say things like that but knowing she is so positive about it makes it just a little bit better. I know she will bounce back and be the active little girl she once was. Just need to get past this shock of everything we have gone through with her, and the reality we are facing.

We are now in our 9th week in the hospital. I still cant believe we almost lost our little girl 9 weeks ago…We are so thankful for the doctors and nurses at Akron Children’s who helped save her life. Never ever did I see this path for us in our life, but we will continue to get through this, with the positive attitude we have had from the start. Matt and I definitely have our moments during all this, but being strong for our girl has always been our number 1 priority

Tessa picked out her paint colors today! She was so cute looking at all the colors. She is so excited for her new room to be complete… Thank you to everyone so far who have donated their time and labor in helping to make her room everything she wants!! This strong and brave little girl deserves everything she wants and more!!
