The 2017 Dollhouse movie production materializes in Macedonia

L.A. director Russ Emanuel has gotten the nod to direct The Dollhouse movie next year. The Dollhouse will be a feature length horror film produced in the Macedonia area sometime in 2017.

Producer Julie D’Aloiso was inspired to start this project when she was introduced to Russ by voice actor Alan K. Courtright. Julie interviewed Russ about his upcoming movie Occupants and began to piece together ideas for a script about a teacher that haunts a local high school. Videographer Gary Miller added a doll and dollhouse to the concept. Composer John Pasternak introduced her to script writer Mike Sajewski Jr. The screenplay is currently being developed into a feature film by Russ Emanuel’s longtime filmmaking partner Emile Haris.

Crowd funding will also be set up in the near future, and when the time comes we will be casting and crewing locally. We would like the local residents to participate as part of the process. Click here to receive updates on this project either for crowdfunding or casting.

The movie Occupants has played recently at Ratha Con in Athens, Ohio and will be at the biggest of comic-cons – the San Diego Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival. The movie was also promoted at the Cleveland Comic Con during October of 2015 before the film’s completion in December of that year.

Originally from San Francisco, Russ Emanuel grew up in both Japan and the United States, garnering an international viewpoint of the world throughout his childhood. After graduating from the University of Southern California to study Cinema-Television, International Relations and Japanese (and gaining more production experience at the UCLA Extension Program), he founded Russem Productions in 2002, in order to promote his films including the award-winning short film Girl With Gun, which was also at the San Diego Comic-Con, as well as his four feature films P.J., Chasing the Green, The Legends of Nethiah, and Occupants (all with recognizable actors such as Robert Picardo, John Heard, William Devane, Jeremy London, and Ryan Hurst). More information on more of his projects here.

NordoniaHills.News will be documenting the project. So stay tuned for more information and behind the scene footage!
