Tessa Update: “She is counting down the days she gets to sleep in her own house!!”

By Tina Puma (Tessa’s mom)

Tessa had another great day yesterday! She is counting down the days she gets to sleep in her own house!! We can not wait! It has been a LONG 9 weeks for our family and we are so excited to welcome her home on Friday!! If anyone would like to stop over on Friday around 5 or so to welcome her home, you are more than welcome too! She would love to see her friends and family!

Things are finally starting to get back to some normalcy for our family! It feels so good to be able to breath a little bit. Matt was able to lease a truck today, many of you know we have only had one car during this entire mess with Tessa. That has been a challenge in itself, but we made it work with the help of his parents, who thankfully live with us… His car stopped working (it was my brother Anthony’s car) right before Tessa got sick but we had to put that on hold while she was in the hospital. With Matt going back to work soon and Tessa getting released and needing to be in daily rehab we needed to get that taken care of, so nice to check that off the list…They finished the drywall in Tessa’s room today!! Painting will be done this weekend and hopefully carpet next week!! They are going to be gutting our bathroom tomorrow and redoing it to make it easier for our babygirl to use as well…So many exciting and stressful things going on all at once, but in the end it is all to better our girl and make things just a little easier on her.

We want to thank EVERYONE who have helped us in anyway these past 9 weeks. We would not have been able to hold it together for our babygirl without the help of each and everyone of you…We are so thankful to live in a community like this. Tessa is a strong, brave and amazing little girl who is going to do amazing things in her future, that is all thanks to you all who have helped hold our family together by all your generosity, support and love for us. We can never say thank you enough!! We are forever grateful.
