On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a single car crash occurred on Interstate 77 north at the 113 mile marker in the City of Green. The driver, a 55 year old female from the City of Green, exited the vehicle and was interviewed by a sheriff’s deputy in reference to the crash. After the deputy interviewed the driver, he spoke to witnesses of the crash. While the deputy was speaking to the witnesses, the 55 year old female walked into the right lane of travel and was struck by a Dodge Ram. The female was transported to Summa Health Center in Akron by Green Fire. She was treated for life threatening injuries.
