According to the Traffic Crash Report from the Ohio Department of Public Safety., a truck was traveling Northbound on Shepard Road approaching 9111 Shepard Road, when the driver began to brake for traffic ahead. After applying the brakes, the driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle during the snow/ice roadway conditions and drove off the road to the right. The truck briefly entered the tree lawn in front of 9111 Shepard Road before correcting back onto the roadway. Immediately after driving back onto the roadway the truck drove off the right side of the road again, struck 9123 Shepard Road’s mailbox, and continued down a ditch while rotating. Unit 1 then struck the side of the ditch and overturned, coming to rest overturned in the driveway of 9123 Shepard Road. The mailbox struck was completely broken from it’s post.
The condition of the driver is not known at this time.
Shepard Road was closed for almost an hour Wednesday night around 7 pm.
