Obituary: Todd Jay Simmons

Todd Jay Simmons, age 60, of Sagamore Hills, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020.  Todd was the beloved husband for 38 years of Cindy (nee Gruss); devoted father of Chris Simmons, Jeff (Megan) Simmons and Frankie (fiancee, Sarah Cotterman) Simmons; loving son of Marjorie (nee Molnar) and the late Richard Simmons; dear brother of Scott (Debbie) Simmons, Heidi Simmons and Holli (Marty) Groff; dear uncle and great uncle of many.  Todd was a founding member and master chef with the Sunday Donut Crew at St. Barnabas, where he was always good for a laugh or practical joke.  He was active and supportive of many activities with his family, building sets and taking photos for almost twenty years with the Nordonia Drama Club, and attending hundreds of sporting events.  Todd always had the correct tool for every job, usually in his pocket, and he really did give the world’s best hugs.  A celebration of Todd’s life will be held at a later and warmer date, when we can all gather safely together.  Arrangements by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, Northfield Center, OH.
