Summit County Sheriff’s Office Arrest made for Child Exploitation

Sheriff Kandy Fatheree would like to announce the arrest of a man suspected of child exploitation on March 15, 2021. An Investigator from the Ohio Crimes Against Children Task Force contacted the Summit County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau in regard to an individual they believed to be downloading child pornography in Barberton. Subsequently, a search warrant was obtained for a residence on Elmwood Avenue in Barberton. Detectives identified the suspect as Michael P. Keeran, age 42 of Barberton. Personnel from the Ohio Crimes Against Children Task Force performed computer forensic examinations on digital evidence found in the residence.

During the investigation, it was determined that Keeran engaged in sexual activity with two minor females.

On March 15, 2021, Keeran was arrested and charged with Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor (F-2), Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-2), Gross Sexual Imposition (F-3), and Sexual Imposition (M-3).

He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
