Thomas K. Rogers, 88. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Kovacs); Loving father of Thomas (Carla), David (Ann) and Robert (Dawn); Cherished grandfather of Kierstyn, TJ, David, Marcus, Jesse, Owen and Hazel; Adoring great-grandfather of Charliana and Jameson; Trusted son of the late Ralph C. and Alice (nee Kay); Caring brother of Bruce (Nancy) and Beverly Bessler (the late Ed); Thoughtful uncle and friend to many. Tom was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio.  Tom attended Lorain High School where he met the love of his life Betty Ann.  Tom was a proud Ohio University Bobcat where he received his Bachelorette of Science in Education and Masters Degree.  Tom’s college education at Ohio University was interrupted when he served our country in the Army.  Tom’s professional career began as a teacher at Warrensville High School where he taught Industrial Arts, drivers education and coached football and golf.  Tom was a booster club member at St. Barnabas, where he volunteered his time and coached multiple sports.  When the boys started at Walsh Jesuit, Tom volunteered more of his time to the Walsh Jesuit Booster Club.  Tom eventually served on the Walsh Jesuit Board of Trustees.  Tom was awarded the Walsh Jesuit Booster Club President’s Award in 1991.  Tom was an accomplished athlete himself throughout high school.  That passion guided him to coach many of his sons’ teams.  Tom proudly followed his sons’ and grandchildren’s athletic endeavors, as well.  Tom was an active member of St. Barnabas Church where served as Eucharistic Minister.  Tom was a lifelong member of the St. Barnabas golf league (where he shot his first hole-in-one.)  He will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.    Family suggests memorial donations be made in  Thomas’ name to St. Barnabas Catholic Church, http://stbarnabasfamily.org/donate/, or charity of their choice. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY FROM 4-7 PM. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER MASKS WILL BE WORN. Funeral Saturday 10 AM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
