Description: National Poetry Month was created by the Academic of American Poets in 1996. The month-long celebration recognizes that poets play an important role in our culture. Join us as we celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the Kent State Geauga Campus’s poetry journal, The Listening Eye (TLE), on April 26, 2022.

David Hassler, Director, Kent State Wick Poetry Center will provide opening remarks followed by Grace Butcher, poet, and TLE editor, who will read poems.

Members from the Kent State Geauga and Twinsburg communities are invited to share their poems as well. For consideration, please email your poem to Dr. Bonnie Shaker at bshaker@kent.edu.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees have the option of attending in-person at the Geauga Campus or Twinsburg Academic Center, or virtually via the link shared in the registration confirmation.
