JOAN A. PELICH (nee Shively) age 82 of Sagamore Hills, Ohio passed away Friday, April 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Ferdinand for 60 years, dear mother of Pamela (Mark) Hrenko, Penni (Patrick) Taylor and Kim (Greg) Laws; loving grandmother of Cory, Alexandra, Shawn (deceased), Kaitlin, Kasey, Haille, Alexcis, Mark and Melissa; sister of Robert and the (late) Charles, Wanda and Donna.
Joan grew up in Sebring, OH, graduated from Sebring High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Ohio University, where she met the love of her life, Ferd. She loved to travel, especially Hawaii & Alaska, and was a devout theater-goer with an insatiable sweet tooth and silly sense of humor. Joan loved to laugh, spend time with family and was always present to celebrate their special moments. Her unwavering optimism, positivity and unconditional love will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to Glenmont Christian Science Nursing Home in Columbus,OH. Friends will be received on Sat., April 23 from 2pm-4pm with a memorial service at 4pm at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home 99 W.
