Nordonia Wins Two Awards

From the Superintendent of Nordonia Hills City Schools,

Dear Nordonia Families,

Welcome back to school! I am writing today simply to share two good news items that came across my desk this week.

First, Nordonia High School Math Department Chair Samantha Fales has been selected for the 2022 Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM) Buck Martin High School Award, awarded for excellence in mathematics teaching at the high school level. In other words, Mrs. Fales is the Ohio math teacher of the year! We are so proud of Sam for her success and grateful for her leadership of our math department.

Second, the National Diversity Council has selected the Nordonia Schools to receive its 2022 National Disability Inclusion Leadership Award. The purpose of the National Disability Inclusion Award is to recognize people and organizations that are leading the way in disability advocacy and inclusion efforts within the workplace and community, as well as highlight DEI best practices surrounding the inclusion of individuals with disabilities. We are proud of all our staff for working to make Nordonia Schools a welcoming place for all students.

Have a great weekend, and Go Knights!

Sincerely,

Joe Clark, Ph.D.

Superintendent
