Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Continues Initiative to Diversify Fan Base with Launch of Rockhall.com in Spanish

CLEVELAND (October 14, 2022) – As Hispanic Heritage Month draws to a close, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is proud to announce the launch of Rockhall.com in Spanish. Earlier this year, the Museum began a key initiative to expand and serve its diverse fan base by providing more content in both English and Spanish while celebrating Hispanic and Latinx heritage and musical contributions.

Over the last several months, Spanish language content rolled out digitally across the Museum’s annual Fan Vote, Rock Hall EDU, live chat, and Facebook Messenger features and is now available on Rockhall.com.

“Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion are at the forefront of everything we do as a museum,” said Greg Harris, President and CEO. “We are committed to the intentional development of exhibits, programs, and outreach through our digital platforms, the museum, and community work. We work with and advocate for individuals, communities, organizations, and businesses to create a vibrant, inclusive and accessible environment and are dedicated to using strategies that benefit and shape our collective futures. Rock & roll is a universal artform that doesn’t know the boundaries of language. We are thrilled that our Spanish-speaking fans can now more fully experience everything the Rock Hall has to offer.”

To view the Rock Hall content in Spanish, fans can head to Rockhall.com. In the upper lefthand corner of the screen, there is a button labeled, “Español.” Once clicked, the site will be translated from English to Spanish.

The Rock Hall will continue to add content to make its offerings more accessible to all. Future initiatives will include Spanish language content within the Museum experience as well as a dedicated exhibit to highlight the global impact and influence of Spanish Rock.

Plus, teachers, parents, and guardians are invited to visit Rock Hall EDU to explore the Hispanic Heritage Month collection which is jam-packed with resources designed to help students understand the role Latin artists and music have had on Rock & Roll. Available assets include a playlist to identify Latin music’s influence on Rock, an analysis of Inductee Joan Baez’s “Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos),” a Jennifer Lopez and Shakira activity pack exploring a modern take on Latin heritage and dance at the Super Bowl, and more.
