Brace Yourselves, Twinsburg—Broadway Ave Construction is Coming

Starting April 1st, 2025 (no, this is not an April Fools’ prank—unfortunately), the long-awaited Broadway Avenue road construction project over our neighbors in Oakwood will officially begin and is expected to last about 8 months. We’ll be living our best “Under Construction” lives in two glorious stages, with work happening daily from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Here’s what to expect:

Stage I: April 1 – July 30

Richmond Rd to Alexander/Pettibone Rd

• Northbound traffic (heading toward the freeway): One lane will remain open.

• Southbound traffic (heading toward Twinsburg): You’ll need to follow the posted detour—Pettibone to Richmond, featuring everyone’s favorite casual spin through the roundabout.

Stage II: August 1 – November 30

Alexander/Pettibone Rd to Macedonia Rd

• Southbound traffic (toward Twinsburg): One lane stays open—hooray!

• Northbound traffic (toward the freeway): Follow detours via Alexander to Freeway Dr or Macedonia if you’re Oakwood-bound.

We know road construction is no one’s idea of fun, but hang in there—at the end of this, we’ll have a smoother Broadway and maybe even learn some new detour routes we never wanted to know.

Pack patience, plan ahead, and maybe bring a snack or two for the ride.
