Nordonia Varsity Lady Knights Fall After Strong Showing By Stow-Munroe Falls

Nordonia Varsity Lady Knights had trouble keeping up with Stow-Munroe Falls in a 10-0 loss on Tuesday.

Stow-Munroe Falls got on the board in the first inning after #6 scored after tagging up.

Stow-Munroe Falls extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by #17 and #8.

#17 earned the win for Stow-Munroe Falls. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out none and walking one. Haylie Lambes took the loss for Nordonia Varsity Lady Knights. The hurler went four and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs (seven earned) on eight hits, striking out two and walking five.

Larken Koran and Amy Haselow each collected two hits for Nordonia Varsity Lady Knights.

#17 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Stow-Munroe Falls with four runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Stow-Munroe Falls’s #14, the number eight hitter, led Stow-Munroe Falls with two hits in two at bats. Stow-Munroe Falls worked the count all day, amassing five walks.
