Dear Nordonia Families,
Yesterday’s levy was decided by just 80 votes. That number alone shows how much every voice counts—and how deeply our community is invested in its schools.
Thank you.
Thank you for voting. Thank you for talking with neighbors. Thank you for asking questions, reading the facts, and staying engaged. And thank you for believing in the value of public education in Nordonia.
Your support allows us to avoid further cuts and continue offering the academic programs, services, and extracurricular opportunities that make a difference in our students’ lives. We don’t take that lightly. We understand that this support comes with responsibility, and we remain fully committed to using every dollar wisely and transparently.
At the same time, I want to be honest about a bigger challenge. Ohio’s school funding system puts local communities in an unfair position. It forces neighbors to take sides just to fund essential needs. That’s not how it should work. Our children deserve consistent, equitable support—without the uncertainty and division that comes with repeated levy cycles.
Still, you showed up. You cared. You helped carry this district forward.
To those who supported the levy—thank you for trusting us.
To those who didn’t—we hear you, and we remain committed to earning your trust.
To everyone—we are here to serve your children, and that will never change.
On behalf of all of us at Nordonia Hills City Schools, thank you for standing with us.
With appreciation,
Casey G. Wright
Superintendent
