Twinsburg Varsity Tigers defeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights 11-0 on Monday thanks in part to seven runs in the third inning. Kyler Hoon singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, an error scored one run, a passed ball scored one run, Bobby Lemieux drew a walk, scoring one run, and JD Okuma drew a walk, scoring one run.
A double play put Twinsburg Varsity Tigers on the board in the top of the second.
Owen Shinada earned the win for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. The starter surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking three. #1 took the loss for Brecksville-Broadview Heights. The righty went two and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out four and walking three.
Twinsburg Varsity Tigers collected 13 hits in the game. Jason Cox went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Twinsburg Varsity Tigers in hits. Aiden Shinada and Lemieux each drove in two runs for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. Cole Kramer, William Bamler, and Hoon each collected multiple hits for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. Twinsburg Varsity Tigers had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Gavin Davis and Lemieux led the team with two bases on balls each.
#15 went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Brecksville-Broadview Heights in hits. Brecksville-Broadview Heights turned two double plays in the game.
