Two adults found dead, juvenile safe in Meadow Brooke Way incident
Summit County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a deadly shooting Friday morning in Northfield Center Township that left two people dead and a juvenile unharmed.
The incident unfolded around 10:48 a.m. when authorities received a 911 call reporting gunshots on Meadow Brooke Way. Responding deputies discovered a 48-year-old man and 48-year-old woman inside the residence, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was rushed to Akron City Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
A juvenile female found inside the home was unharmed and has been placed in the care of Summit County Children’s Services.
Authorities are withholding the identities of the deceased pending family notification.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau and Medical Examiner’s Office continue investigating the shooting.
