PROPERTY CRIMES
Aug. 5 – Village Service Superintendent Jason Walters reported surveillance footage captured an unknown person trespassing on municipal property on Houghton Road around 11:36 p.m. Aug. 4. The suspect was seen going through vehicles and checking building and shed doors. Investigation ongoing.
Aug. 6 – A theft was reported at MGM Northfield Park casino. Police identified a female suspect who will face charges. A warrant will be issued if the suspect does not turn herself in voluntarily.
Aug. 10 – Officers responded to reports of a burglary with forced entry at MGM Northfield Park on Northfield Road. The break-in occurred in the back maintenance area. The case has been forwarded to detectives for investigation.
WELFARE CHECK
Aug. 8 – Police conducted a welfare check on Huntington Drive after a male resident failed to show up for work for two days. The man was found deceased inside his apartment. The medical examiner’s office removed the body for examination. The case has been closed.
