Nordonia Athletics Update
Nordonia earned an exciting win against Solon as the girls basketball team continues its strong push toward the postseason. With the regular season quickly coming to an end, the Lady Knights are beginning to shift their focus toward the playoffs. Each game is becoming more important, and the team is working hard to build momentum at just the right time. Their determination and teamwork were on full display in this latest victory, and they look to carry that energy forward as tournament time approaches.
On the ice, Nordonia hockey secured a big win against Bay to close out the season. With that victory, the Knights finish the year with a solid 9-8-1 record. It was a competitive season filled with growth, resilience, and key moments that showcased the team’s hard work. Finishing above .500 is a strong accomplishment, and the program continues to build a foundation for future success.
Wrestling is also in action, with both the girls and boys teams competing. The boys varsity and junior varsity squads will compete in a home tri-meet against Aurora and Walsh Jesuit. Competing at home always brings extra energy, and the Knights will look to defend their mat against tough competition. Meanwhile, the girls wrestling team will travel to compete in the Brunswick Invitational, where they will test themselves against strong opponents in a competitive tournament setting.
As winter sports continue, it is great to see so many Nordonia athletes representing the school with pride and dedication. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our teams throughout the season. Your encouragement makes a difference. With playoffs on the horizon and key competitions ahead, there is still plenty of excitement to come.
Go Knights!
