The Longwood Manor Historical Society will hold a rummage sale this month at the historic property on East Aurora Road. Organizers are calling the event “PEPS,” short for “previously enjoyed people’s stuff.”
Sale Dates and Hours
Shoppers can browse the sale over two separate weekends. The first dates are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 7 and 8. The second round follows two weeks later on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21 and 22. Both weekends will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The sale will take place at Longwood Manor, located at 1634 E. Aurora Road in Macedonia.
Proceeds Support Historic Restoration
All proceeds from the sale will go toward the restoration of Longwood Manor. The home once belonged to Col. William Frew Long, Macedonia’s founding mayor, and his wife, Isabel.
Volunteers with the historical society organize the sale each year as one of several fundraising efforts tied to the property. Preservation of the home remains an ongoing project for the group.
