Jamiere Davis and Hailey Sommer-Yurmanovich take home the titles at Nordonia High School
Nordonia High School has named its 2026 Homecoming King and Queen. Jamiere Davis and Hailey Sommer-Yurmanovich earned the titles this year, capping off a season of school spirit for the Nordonia Knights.
Jamiere Davis
Davis has built a full high school resume at NHS. He plays varsity football and basketball, and he also takes part in Student Council, National Honor Society and is a founding member of FCA. Golf is one of his favorite pastimes, but he says talking with people and making new connections tops the list. Making sure everyone feels included matters most to him.
He credits NHS staff for the authentic relationships they build with students. A favorite memory for him came during his freshman year, when he dunked a basketball during a lip sync performance. Next year, Davis plans to play college football while studying psychology or computer science.
Hailey Sommer-Yurmanovich
Sommer-Yurmanovich has spent four years as a class officer and a varsity softball letterman. She also belongs to National Honor Society, serves as a Pep Club co president and is a member of Blood Cancer United. She says there is never a dull moment at Nordonia, with plenty of opportunities for students to find their place.
Planning Spirit Week and Lip Sync Battles with friends stand out among her favorite memories. Watching her entire class come together to celebrate also left a mark on her. After graduation, she plans to earn a four year degree in sports management and pursue a career in professional sports.
