Disorderly Conduct and Public Indecency
Intoxicated Man Returns After Uber Ride, Faces New Charges (Oct. 9)
An officer doing a business check at the racino around 11:38 p.m. found security walking a highly intoxicated man outside. The man was causing a scene with security. He also refused to get a ride and leave the property.
The officer gave him a choice: find a ride or be arrested for disorderly conduct. He still refused, so he was placed in handcuffs. Police issued him a disorderly conduct citation, and he then decided to call an Uber. He left in the Uber after being warned about trespassing.
That was not the end of the night. A short time later, the Uber driver flagged down the officer. She said the man had yelled at her and told her to take him to his car.
Police found him back in the parking lot. He resisted when the officer tried to handcuff him, and a brief struggle on the ground followed before he was detained. Northfield Village Fire Department evaluated him and took him to the hospital because of how intoxicated he was. He will later be charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
