American Legion’s Annual Americanism and Government Test Winners

Nordonia High School again hosted the American Legion’s annual Americanism and Government Test to 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. 9th graders can take test only to prepare them to take it in their 10th grade although the questions will be different

This is a statewide Civics-based program administered locally by Nordonia Hills American Legion Post 801. The test encourages students to learn about our National, State and local governments. It comprises 50 true/false, multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions. An essay question is included as a tie breaker.

The winners’ tests have been forwarded to the 14th District of Ohio for judging and then may be forwarded to State and National Departments for further consideration. If successful they can be awarded monetary recognition by the 14th District, Department of Ohio or National Department for further consideration and possibly be awarded an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC and Gettysburg.
