Question: What is vertigo?

Answer: Vertigo is a symptom of a variety of conditions. It is often described as a spinning sensation. Vertigo is not a stand-alone disorder therefore you experience vertigo as a symptom of a different condition or disorder. Vertigo is often accompanied by nausea. It can vary greatly in severity which is likely due to the number of disorders that can cause vertigo.
