Community Expo 2020 Postponed

Dear Chamber member –

We’ve been monitoring the evolving impact of the coronavirus on the community and our businesses. With new cases identified in Ohio earlier this week, there is growing concern about “community spread”. Over the last several days we’ve talked with local health officials, educators and leaders in the business community.

Many of our companies have already taken action or are considering policies to limit travel, meetings and non-essential gatherings – especially of more than 20-100 people. During those conversations, it has been made clear that these guidelines will result in many of our planned attendees being prohibited or discouraged from attending.

As such, we are postponing the Annual Community Expo currently scheduled for Saturday, March 21. We have determined that bringing together more than 3000 area residents and business leaders, at this time, is not prudent.

While the risk of exposing people to the virus is of concern, we also believe that an empty room is also not the best use of the resources provided by our members and the sponsors and supporters of our Expo 2020. All sponsorships and registrations will be honored at our Fall Expo 2020.

We are fortunate to have so many generous sponsors and supporters this year and we will be reaching out to discuss what’s next and how we will ensure they receive the exposure and recognition they deserve at our rescheduled event. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly.
