County Executive Shapiro announces Help a Puppy Get Lucky adoption event

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 and National Puppy Day on March 23, County Executive Ilene Shapiro is announcing the Help a Puppy Get Lucky Adoption Event, encouraging residents to consider adopting a dog or cat. Interested residents should call 330-643-2845 to schedule an appointment with Summit County Animal Control. After all, there is no better way to enjoy the spring weather than with a furry friend! During the Help a Puppy Get Lucky Event, adoption costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94) and $10 for cats (regularly $60) from Monday, March 14 till Friday, March 25. The animals will be fully vetted (bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will receive a 2022 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
