From Golf Course to Conservation Area: the Transformation of Valley View

A few years ago, Summit Metro Parks acquired the Valley View Golf Course in Akron, Ohio. Now known as our Valley View Conservation Area, the acquisition connects Gorge, Sand Run, and Cascade Valley Parks into a SuperPark. Staff at Metro Parks are busy working to restore the area to a natural area for fish, wildlife and ultimately people.
