Fall Season: Nordonia Girls Volleyball Succumbs to Twinsburg Tigers in 3 Sets

The Nordonia Unknighted Volleyball Girls’ Team experienced a defeat against the visiting Twinsburg Tigers in three sets on Saturday night at Twinsburg High School. With this loss, Nordonia’s season record drops to 2-4.

Before the match, sophomore Madison DuPont was awarded the Golden Knight Award for her outstanding performance.

The Tigers secured the first set with a score of 25-19 against Nordonia. They continued their dominance in the second set, winning 25-16 and taking a 2-0 lead in the match. In the third set, the Tigers built an 8-2 lead with senior Julia Rodic’s serving. Ultimately, the Tigers claimed the third set with a score of 25-10, securing a 3-0 victory over Nordonia.

In the junior varsity match, the Twinsburg Tigers secured a 2-set victory over Nordonia. They made an impressive comeback in the second set after being seven points down.

The Nordonia Varsity Volleyball team holds a 2-4 record for the season and will face Wadsworth, ranked 5th in the state and on a 6-game winning streak, on Thursday at the Knighthouse.
