This class will satisfy the requirement of Ohio Department Natural Resources Watercraft Division for those who are born after January 1, 1982 so they can operate a watercraft. This class is for beginners as well as seasoned boaters. Participants will learn basic boating safety as well as boat handling and rules of the road in boating for all types of boats.

The class is open to everyone over the age of 12 and is free to participants. There is a fee for the textbook of $40.00. The cost of the state required test is included in the textbook fee. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a card from the Ohio State Department of Watercraft verifying completion of the course. Boaters born after 1982, who do not have this card, will not be permitted to operate any watercraft legally in the state of Ohio.
