It is with great sadness that we report that the Summit County Shop with a Cop Program that Macedonia Police Dept. has participated in the last 2 years will be cancelled this year due to safety concerns with Covid -19. All of us here at Macedonia Police Department can’t wait for this all to be over so we can get back to our fun holiday program.
We however are still going to try and spread some holiday cheer in 2020 by deploying “Operation Blue Santa”. The Macedonia Police Department has paired up with Macedonia Walmart to raise monies and are looking for the communities help to identify some families in the Macedonia Community that could use a little extra holiday cheer this season and possibly help with gift suggestions!!! We will sponsor as many families as we can. If you would like to donate to our operation, donations will be accepted in cash form at the Macedonia Police Station dispatch center or via Venmo @Macedonia-shop-with-a-cop. We are hoping to make delivery of our gifts to the families or individuals selected on Saturday December 19th.
