IHOP is open at the Macedonia, OH location as of November 17, 2022 and has something for everyone. Not a breakfast fan? Don’t care for pancakes? Maybe you are gluten free? IHOP has you! With a variety of menu items to choose from, it may take some time for you to decide what you would like to eat, but from breakfast to dinner items, there is something for everyone to enjoy any time of day, not just the mornings. The staff is still growing at the Macedonia location, and a NOW HIRING sign greets visitors, but the wait staff and managers were attentive and cheerful the day we visited, and pride themselves in excellent customer service.
From southwestern style burritos or burrito bowls, which exclude the soft tortilla wrap, to traditional breakfasts with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and sausage links, the IHOP menu will have you craving the date of your next visit. Some locals like to try something different each and every time they visit, while others are happy to get reacquainted with their fluffy pancakes and maple syrup they yearn for.
Local Customer Reviews
Recently, I tried the New Southwest Chicken Burrito bowl and chose my side as the gluten free pancakes to try for the first time. I am most habitually not a pancake fan, however the gluten friendly pancakes had me with their fluffy “angel food cake-like” taste, along with their sweet aroma as soon as they arrived at my palate.
My breakfast companion and colleague, Julie D. had the Spicy Shredded Beef Burrito, which was very good and was only a little spicy. She is a self-proclaimed spicy lover and says she would order it again. The burrito and burrito bowl items come with a side of salsa and sour cream on the side, along with an additional choice of a side like toast, or pancakes.
Another customer, Dan Rapp, who could not wait for IHOP to open described his experience and coffee as great with excellent service. He described the Colorado omelet as meaty and flavorful with chunky, bold salsa.
IHOP Has Generous Portion Sizes!
You could easily share an entrée or take some home to share or eat at another time. It was no surprise when my teenage daughter also gave two thumbs up to my southwest chicken entrée that I took home to share with her. We are both lovers of Mexican and southwestern dishes, with the additional fiery spices.
IHOP has Gluten-Friendly Menu items! They are still prepared in a common area where cooking oils and gluten items are prepared, but because the foods contain less than 20 parts-per-million of gluten, it is considered gluten friendly instead of completely gluten and allergy free, according to FDA standards.
The coffee is hot and fresh and they will give you a carafe for refills. When asking the waitress what kind of coffee they serve, she said it is their own IHOP House Blend. While I started out drinking coffee from some nearby coffee chains years ago, I feel that IHOP’s House Blend is comparable if not exceeds other popular brand coffees.
At IHOP you will “Come Hungry and Leave Happy”. There is something for everyone. They are not just pancakes and breakfast items. They have burgers, sandwiches and melts too. There is a 55- and up menu with pairings of protein, veggies, and less calories for smaller appetites and portion control. Don’t have time to sit down at a restaurant and eat? Are you in need of feeding a family of four on the go? Family Feasts for IHOP and GO Only are also available.
