The Knights of Columbus will host its Night At The Races fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Twinhaven Reception Center, 10439 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg. Proceeds will support high school scholarships and parish projects.
Event Schedule
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Appetizer stations begin at 6 p.m. Post time for the races starts at 7 p.m. Guests can expect an evening built around food, fellowship and races run for entertainment rather than actual wagering on live horses.
Tickets include appetizer stations catered by Bella Catering along with soft drinks, wine, beer and dessert. Organizers ask that guests not bring personal alcohol into the event.
Tickets And Pricing
Tickets cost $45 per person. Guests hoping to purchase a table of eight or ten are asked to list the names of their group on the back of the reservation form.
Attendees can also purchase a horse for $20 each. A sponsored horse that finishes in first place earns its buyer a $30 payout. Organizers describe the event as an adult gathering open to the public and encourage guests to invite friends and reserve a full table.
Prizes And Contests
Several prize opportunities will be part of the evening. Side boards, a $200 lottery wheel, a $250 gift card collage and a basket of alcohol will all be available, along with wagering tied to the race portion of the program.
How To Reserve A Spot
Checks should be made payable to Knights of Columbus Council 11831, with Night at the Races noted in the memo line. Reservations can be paid by check or cash and submitted along with a completed form to either the OLG church office or SS. Cosmos and Damian.
