The girls bowling teams from Nordonia, both the varsity and junior varsity, have been winning games, showing off their skills, and working together as a team.
JV Girls: Tournament Champions at Home
The Nordonia JV Invitational was held at Northwoods Lanes on Saturday, December 16th, and the JV girls team rolled to victory. They were unstoppable from the get-go, taking first place in the qualifying rounds and avoiding elimination from the final round.
Finals play took place against Austintown Fitch, but they prevailed in two baker games to claim the championship. For the individual event, Natalie Barnes finished first with 445 series, while Madison McEwen finished second and was named to the all-tournament team with 394 series.
Varsity Girls: Continuing the Winning Streak
The Varsity Girls kept the momentum going on Wednesday, December 20th, with a decisive win against Suburban League adversary Copley, at Northwood Lanes. A final score of 2311–1490 was the result of the Lady Knights’ outstanding performance. Abby Toronski had a 392 series, and Kaitlyn McNutt had a 398 series, leading the team.
Lexi DeMarco added 299 series to the team’s total, while Grace Bzdafka and Kolbey Lewin each contributed 363 and 354 series, respectively. The outstanding performance by the Varsity Girls was a reflection of their superb team chemistry as well as their individual talents.
