Macedonia – Local Steer Escaped, Found on Neighbor’s Lawn

On 6/28 at 6:06 am, Macedonia police was dispatched to a residence on Meadow Woods Drive in reference to a large animal complaint.

The police officer arrived on the scene they observed a brown steer in the front yard. The caller had no idea where the steer came from. The police officers checked with a farm in the area to see if they had a missing steer. The owner of the farm stated that they did not have any steer but was willing to house the animal until the owner was located.

Later that day, Macedonia police was dispatched to a residence in that same general area complaining of steer feces in her yard and potted plants knocked down. The owner of this property was able to inform the police officers of the owner of the steer. The police contacted the owner, who was camping about 45 minutes away. There were advised of the situation and eventually picked up the steer. The owner of the steer is being charged with Animal at Large (MM) through Macedonia Mayor’s Court.
