Here are the minutes from the March 13th meeting.
This was the first council meeting that was held virtually. If you watch the video be advised that the audio is sometimes hard to hear.
Notes from the Macedonia Council Meeting
- This was the first council meeting for Amanda Trzaska who replaced Josephine Arceci as Clerk of Council. Josephine Arceci retired after 30 years of service to the city.
- The Spirit of Macedonia festival, 2020 has been cancelled at this time.
- Twinsburg Rd will be closed for repairs for approximation 10 days.
- Bulk garbage will be reinstated next week. Macedonia residents can now put out the extra garbage as they did before.
- They city is providing free mulch again for residents.
Last week, the City received and accepted the formal resignation of Angela Manley in connection with her position as the City’s Parks and Recreation Director. Ms. Manley served in the position for approximately 14 years. The City wishes Ms. Manley the best on all her future endeavors after her time with the City comes to a conclusion. While the City’s Recreation Center remains closed and without Recreation staffing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City continues to monitor the situation and will be providing additional updates to the Macedonia Community in the coming weeks. AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $3,450,000 TO REFUND BONDS PREVIOUSLY ISSUED
FOR THE PURPOSE OF: PAYING THE PROPERTY OWNERS’ PORTION, IN ANTICIPATION OF
THE COLLECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS HERETOFORE LEVIED, AND THE CITY’S
