New Family Friendly Comic Strip Series Comes To Nordonia Hills News

This week the “NORDONIA HILLS NEWS” is pleased to welcome the family friendly comic strip series ZED, written and drawn by cartoonist Duane Abel (who resides in a small Ohio community).

ZED is a lovable piece of fabric softener and dryer lint that found his way into the hearts of a loving family. ZED (who is about to celebrate his 28th year of publication) appears in over 50 weekly newspapers nationwide and has been collected into several book by Corkey Comics Publishing. GARFIELD creator Jim Davis has called ZED “a comic strip with a ton of heart”.

Cartoonist Duane Abel is a proud member of the National Cartoonists Society and even prouder dad to two boys. His first children’s book “BOWLERS: The Cereal Mascot” was just released last year and he is on the list of noted Ohio cartoonists from OSU’S Billy Ireland Art Museum and Cartoon Library. Duane’s first feature film as a screenwriter is the romantic comedy feature film “THE GREEN OAK GUARDIAN” which is now available on Amazon and Tubi and where he also appears as Hollywood super agent Cy Glasbery. Duane plans to draw the comic strip ZED for at least 85 years, making him 100 year old when that feat is achieved! Duane calls this his “Thrive to 85!”
