Nordonia Drama will present A Murder is Announced, by Agatha Christie, as this year’s fall production. Adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, this whodunit will keep you guessing right up until the final reveal.
An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house’s several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities and a determined inspector grimly following the case’s twists and turns.
This year’s production features a talented cast of 11 students onstage, with several more working behind the scenes as members of our crews. At the helm is Director of Drama, Chris Simmons, assisted again this year by Nordonia Drama alum Julia Dulaney.
Performances for A Murder is Announced are: Friday, November 17th at 7:30 PM, and Saturday, November 18th at 2 and 7:30 PM in the high school auditorium.
Tickets will be sold online, via Hometown Ticketing. Tickets are $10 each. All tickets are general admission and will be on sale by the end of October. Tickets will also be available at the door, cash only, starting one hour before showtime.
