Nordonia Girls Volleyball Team Shines with Season Honors and Coach Covelli’s Guidance

The Nordonia Girls Volleyball team enjoyed a highly successful season, boasting numerous players who earned accolades from the Suburban League. The team, under the expert guidance of Coach Covelli, demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and unwavering determination.

Honorable mention in the All Suburban League was awarded to both Madison Dupont and Rylee Kinnell, two outstanding sophomores who compete for the same team. With 550 hits between them, these two strong players made it into the top 10, making them a powerful pair to watch in the years to come.

Junior Aleithia Wilson delivered an outstanding season, claiming the second-team All Suburban Conference award. Her remarkable versatility shone through as she ranked among the top two in multiple statistical categories, including points, blocks, kills, digs, aces, and serve receive, showcasing her unwavering consistency.

Senior Riley Barwidi, a true star player, received the prestigious first-team All Suburban League honor. Leading all liberos in the league in serve receptions and digs, Riley’s defensive prowess was undeniable. Her impressive second-place rankings in aces and service points further highlighted her valuable contributions to the team’s offense.

We also thank Coach Covelli for his leadership and coaching skills, which helped the squad succeed this season. Madison Dupont, Rylee Kinnell, Aleithia Wilson, and Riley Barwidi all became successful thanks to his advice, strategic sense, and ability to motivate and care for players. Coach Covelli’s commitment to creating a winning culture and developing these talented athletes is admirable.
