Nordonia Hills City School District Commitment to Safety & Security Enhancement Pending November 2018 Levy Passage

Dear Nordonia Families,

The Nordonia Hills City School District holds student and staff safety as its highest priority.

In July, the Board committed to utilizing a significant portion of funding raised by the passage of Issue 2 this November to enhance safety and security and provide more supports to those students with mental, emotional and behavioral health concerns. These items were decided after much research and consultation with law enforcement, safety experts and mental health experts.

You can view the list here: NHCSD Safety and Security Commitments

In addition, upon learning of plans to eliminate the School Resource Officer position if the City of Macedonia levy fails, the Board of Education has committed to maintaining a School Resource Officer if Issue 2 passes, regardless of the fate of the Macedonia levy.

Student and staff safety will continue to be the top priority of the Nordonia Schools.

Please reach out to me directly at 330-908-6202 or joe.clark@nordoniaschools.org if you have questions.

As always, thanks for your support of the Nordonia Schools!

Sincerely,

Joe Clark, Ph.D.
