Nordonia Knight Takes 4th at Brunswick Ohio Co-Ed Invitational – Girls Golf

The Nordonia Knights Boys and Girls Golf Teams joined forces to participate in the Brunswick Co-Ed Invitational on Monday afternoon at Fox Meadows Country Club. This was Brunswick’s first-ever coed event. 

The Lady Knight golfers collaborated to achieve a 4th place finish out of the 10 competing schools. Junior Julia Gulla led the way for the Lady Knights with an impressive score of 75 for the day. 

Senior Brooke contributed to the team’s success with a score of 80. Sophomores Carley Sutton, Natalie Barnes, and Maddie Eisner posted scores of 87, 92, and 103, respectively. The team achieved an overall total score of 334, with a special mention to Carley Sutton for achieving her personal best score. 

Among the girls’ field and the overall tournament, the Magnificat Blue Streak secured first place. The Blue Streak girls shot 301, a 6-stroke lead over the runner-up Highland Hornets, who finished with a team score of 307. Maureen O’Leary of the Blue Streaks was the tournament’s medalist with a score of 72. 

The Stow Bulldogs secured 3rd place with a score of 328, and the Nordonia Knights placed 4th with a score of 334. The host team, Brunswick girls’ golfers, posted a team score of 375, earning them 9th place in the competition.
