Nordonia Knights Clings to Victory as North Royalton Nearly Erases 5-Run Deficit, 5 – 4

Nordonia Knights got out to a five-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 5-4 victory over North Royalton on Monday. North Royalton scored four runs in the failed comeback on a error, a single by Miller, and a single by Baugh.

North Royalton scored four runs in the sixth inning, but Nordonia Knights still managed to pull out the victory. Maruniak, Miller, and Baugh each had RBIs in the frame.

Nordonia Knights got things moving in the second inning. Nordonia Knights scored on a stolen base during Trent Alvord’s at bat. Then Alvord singled , driving in one.

Mason Reville led the Nordonia Knights to victory on the mound. The bulldog lasted five innings, allowing five hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking one. Evan Leitner threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Dezzuti led things off on the hill for North Royalton. The pitcher surrendered five runs on five hits over five innings, striking out three. Crowe threw one inning in relief.

Vinny Hack, Jonathan Mitchner, Alvord, Dash Lanzilotta, and Michael Ebert each collected one hit to lead Nordonia Knights.

North Royalton tallied ten hits on the day. Miller, Dezzuti, and Bitterman each racked up multiple hits for North Royalton. North Royalton was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Farrell had the most chances in the field with five.
