Nordonia Knights Nabs Win Over Highland Varsity Hornets Despite Early 3-Run Inning winning 14 – 3

Nordonia Knights managed through a push by Highland Varsity Hornets in the third inning where Nordonia Knights coughed up three runs, but Nordonia Knights still won 14-3 on Wednesday. Highland Varsity Hornets offense in the inning was led by Mitchell Good and Logan Marquis, all driving in runs in the inning.

Nordonia Knights got things started in the first inning. Jacob Shirk singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Mason Reville pitched Nordonia Knights to victory. The fireballer went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out three and walking zero. Evan Leitner threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Marquis took the loss for Highland Varsity Hornets. The righthander lasted one inning, allowing five hits and seven runs.

Nordonia Knights racked up 14 hits. Kyan Freyhauf, Michael Ebert, Shirk, Matt Janosek, and Danny Ours all managed multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. Freyhauf led Nordonia Knights with three hits in five at bats.
