Nordonia Knights was victorious over Woodridge, 4-2

Woodridge opened up scoring in the first inning, when Russ singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Nordonia Knights tied things up at one when Owen Smotek tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Nordonia Knights pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Vinny Hack doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Smotek singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Ben Chesser pitched Nordonia Knights to victory. Chesser surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings, striking out two. Mason Reville threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Heisler took the loss for Woodridge. The pitcher surrendered four runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

Nordonia Knights had nine hits in the game. Jack Waid, Smotek, and Michael Ebert all had multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. Smotek and Waid each collected three hits to lead Nordonia Knights. Nordonia Knights was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Trent Alvord had the most chances in the field with five.
