Nordonia Unity Week 2022

From the Superintendent of Nordonia Hills City Schools,

Dear Nordonia Families,

Sponsored by the Nordonia Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, next week the Nordonia Hills City School District will celebrate our 3rd annual Unity Week.

Our Theme this school year is “Better Together.”

Here is a brief overview of what students have the option to participate in next week in our schools.

  • Monday 10/24: Introduce Unity Week and listen to the We Are Unity song.
  • Tuesday 10/25: Unity Pledge. We encourage students, families, and community members to take the Unity Pledge here. Students who take the Unity Pledge will receive a Better Together Bracelet
  • Wednesday 10/26: Better Together Art Project. Students in each building will decorate their own school banners to complete the Better Together Art Project.
  • Thursday 10/27: District Read and Listen. Age-appropriate books and/or TED Talks for students will be presented.
  • Friday 10/28: uKnighted for Unity. A Spirit Day and Unity Rally will be held at each school, and each building will uniquely celebrate how we are uKnighted and Better Together to culminate Unity Week.

Please note because of the 8th grade trip to Washington, DC next week, Unity Week activities are happening this week at the middle school.

We look forward to demonstrating how we are better together. As always, thanks for your continued support of the Nordonia Schools, and Go Knights!

Sincerely,

Joe Clark, Ph.D.

Superintendent
