Northfield Village council voted to Aug. 28, accept an Assistant to Firefighters Grant in the amount of $66,666.
According to Fire Chief Jason Buss, The village share will be 5 percent, or $3,333.
The money will fund two ambulance power cot systems.
The systems will cut down on the possibilities of injuries in the field, Buss added.
In other legislation:
* Council unanimously voted to pay for weed cutting services which will be placed on the tax duplicate.
* The Police Department received approval for a new Chevy Tahoe Police Edition to replace a cruiser from 2014.
* The Police Department had a range day Aug. 28, to qualify for their yearly State Qualification.
• There were 743 calls for service for July 2021.
